Hillingdon Manor School is a highly regarded independent school that is part of the Hillcrest group. The school caters for children 6 -19 years old with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
£29,789 – £36,719 (plus outer London weighting)
37.5 hours per week
The core function of therapeutic intervention is to facilitate pupils’ access to the curriculum in the educational setting. You will join an experienced and supportive team of therapists that includes Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, a Clinical Psychologist, Drama and Music Therapists and Counsellors. You will be responsible for provision of a comprehensive, highly-specialist Speech and Language Therapy service to children attending the school. You will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision to less experienced therapists.
Your role will be to participate in the assessment, admission and transition process of pupils referred to the school. As well as paediatric experience, you will have knowledge of working with children with ASD and/or signifi cant language and communication difficulties, together with experience of planning and facilitating groups. This post requires excellent communication, time management and organisational skills, in addition to high levels of computer literacy, creativity and problem solving skills.
