Orchard Hill College currently operates out of several sites. In addition to the main base at Wallington Town Hall, Surrey learning programmes take place in community satellite venues in Wallington/Lambeth/Wandsworth/Tulse Hill.
From October 2008, the College will open an Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Vocational Progression Unit in Carshalton, Surrey.
We provide a non-residential stimulating learning environment for students with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities. A specialist day college, we treat our students with the dignity and respect they deserve and provide them with more opportunities than ever before to be part of the local community.
We require a physiotherapist to work as part of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team (including SALT, OT and music therapist) to support our learners in accessing all aspects of the curriculum, as well as liaising with parents/carers and other external professionals and agencies. You will also work very closely with teaching staff including helping to integrate therapy and learning objectives as well as instructing and supporting teaching staff in such aspects as correct positioning, delivering therapy programmes and use of specialised equipment. In addition the post will involve delivering training to other staff and provision of hydrotherapy. The post may involve working at some of the College’s satellite venues.
