Occupational Therapist


Post Ref No: May 10/03

18.75 hours per week

Contract Length: Permanent

Grade/Salary Scale: Band 6
- £25,472 - £34,189 per annum pro rata

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our small interdisciplinary team of experienced clinical specialists in the running of a well established, residential chronic back pain management programme.  The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic and District Hospital Trust has an international reputation for innovation and research. We have a proactive Therapy team with very motivated senior clinicians who are keen to develop further the extended role of therapists within the Trust. Our department can offer staff development through appraisal, in service training and post graduate education. We are committed to maintaining the quality of service through audit and research.

Prior experience in the practice of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques with an interest in Contextual Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is desirable, but training will be provided. Excellent communication skills are required in the assessment and treatment of patients with complex psychosocial needs, and in your ability to lead group discussions and contribute to team development.
